  • Please contact SU Leader, Eileen Gleba, directly to pick an available country. (Eileen manages this so we don’t have the same countries represented year after year).
  • A 3-fold cardboard poster board with Troop Number, Country name and then anything your Troop wants. Makes a great activity for 1-2 GS meetings!!
  • A 8 1/2″ x 11″ typed page with GS/Girl Guide information from their country along with some interesting tidbits about the country (to be duplicated for booklet)
  • A 8 1/2″ x 11″ replica of the country’s flag. Can be made with felt, construction paper, etc. (to be turned in for booklet)
  • Have a stamp or sticker (about 1/2″ square) to be placed on everyone’s passport (passport can be bought for $1 at door or may be provided by community. TBD)
  • Have prepared finger food or drink native to the country (Preferably low in sugar)
  • Have a song, dance, craft or game from the country to share with the scouts. Tables will be available. Having instructions for the scouts is ideal
  • Dressing/hat/make-up in native garb is always a plus
  • Scouts to be in uniform
  • Cake will be provided towards end of event
  • Recommend purchasing Thinking Day patch at GS Shops for your scouts

The number of scouts and adults who feast can vary depending on the number of troops/scouts participating.  Families can join.
