Hello Leader!

Happy Hell-month!  Say What???? I mean, Happy Holidays!!!!

Here we are, thick deep in December.  What does that mean?  The Girl Scouts ROCKED at the Katonah Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, Dec 2nd!  There was a beautiful Menorah honoring and celebration, followed by the Girl Scouts Christmas caroling, and then other K-L singers from school.  The temperature was just right, and the rain seemed to hold into a mist.  The MOST IMPORTANT POINT – the scouts were well-behaved before, during, and after the ceremony.  I want to be sure the Leaders’ efforts are appreciated here as it hasn’t always been good, and this year, they did great!! Please let your SCOUTS know that they did a great job, and their behavior was well-received!

Next: Leader Meeting at Horse and Hound; TUESDAY, Dec 11th, 6:30pm. This place is hopping!  I could NOT make a reservation for the 12th due to the Lion’s Club taking over the joint!  We INSTEAD have Tuesday, Dec 11th at 6:30pm reserved.  I reserved the back room (main room is full!!).  Same gig as always, $25 for family-style dinner with salmon, pasta chicken, and salad, followed by dessert and tea/coffee.  Tax and tip are included.  Alcohol beyond is separate, in which case my bill may be large.  I have an idea of how many will join based on previous years, but if you are tickled pink at the idea of joining, be sure to let me know so I can adjust with HnH. Thank you!

As stated before, we have a sleepover event at the library and a dance coming in 1Q2019 (2019, really?!!!!) and I will keep you posted.

My (with extreme help to be revealed) Christmas present to you is almost complete.  Wait for it…..wait for it….

Remember to say, “NO” during this time of year. Remember to keep your sanity, and remember that this K-L Scout Community respects and appreciates EVERYTHING that you do.
